Os encantos do Rio de Janeiro, tão cantados ou recitados por gênios da nossa literatura, são parte da natureza e da história do estado. Contudo, a fartura da beleza natural fluminense não coincide com o momento de sua economia, que há anos anda capengando. A indústria naval e a cadeia de fornecedores de máquinas e equipamentos que o digam. Setores pujantes no passado, hoje estão com o pires na mão. Mas há ainda chances de reverter esse quadro.
Para a Associação de Indústrias do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Rio Indústria), a retomada da economia fluminense passa, necessariamente, pelo estímulo aos setores de óleo, gás e naval. “O Rio deixou de ser o segundo estado em termos de indústria. Hoje, estamos em sexto lugar, em vias de cair para a sétima posição. Não podemos perder a vocação do povo fluminense, que é a vocação para o mar”, alertou o vice-presidente conselheiro da Rio Indústria, Marcius Ferrari.
O entrevistado avalia que o estado tem estaleiros preparados para construir plataformas, gerando muitos empregos e reanimando a economia local. “Hoje, se falássemos em construir FPSOs no Brasil, seriam gerados 100 mil empregos de imediato, em curto espaço de tempo”, projetou. Ferrari sustenta que o Brasil deveria fazer uma revisão de sua política de conteúdo local, de forma a garantir competitividade para as empresas do Rio e do resto do país. “Queremos desenvolver a indústria nacional, mas sem reserva de mercado. Precisamos de condições competitivas para que a indústria fluminense possa competir com os estaleiros estrangeiros”, finalizou.
